DROP-IN CLASS POLICY
  • Drop-in classes include those classes where clients pay-per-class, or
purchase a pack of classes for use at any time during the semester at
    any drop-in class.
  • Drop-in packages are valid for the semester indicated ONLY, not the
    previous or following semesters.
  • Upon registration, parents should specify how they intend to use their
class pack - For example:  which sibling?  which class?  Will it be shared
(siblings only)?  Which location, if applicable?  Parents should keep Kids
at Work informed if their plans change regarding which class(es) they
intend to attend.  This helps to limit over-crowding, and keeps our
    enrollment under control.
  • "FULL" classes - A class that is marked as "FULL" on this website is a
class where there are no more class pack holders being registered for
that particular class, to limit potential overcrowding.  Other clients may
STILL drop-in to these classes, space permitting, with a reservation.
  • Clients who purchase class packs may attend any age-appropriate
DROP-IN class, any day, any time that classes are in session.  Please
    note sibling policies below.
  • Class packs are purchased separately for the summers only "Sun
Sessions" program and all other programs offered at the 14th Street
    location.  Packs are not interchangeable.
  • Class packs are valid for the semester indicated only when you purchase
your pack.  There are no refunds, rollovers, or credits for unused classes
    in class packs.
  • Clients are urged to make a reservation for a drop-in class.  See
    reservation policy below.
  • Drop-in without reservation:  It is possible to drop-in without a
reservation, space permitting.   Please do not be upset if there is no
    room in a given class.
  • Reservations that are more than 7 minutes late will be considered a no
show.  Space may not be available for clients who are more than 7
minutes late for a reservation.  If you are late and there is no room in the
class, you will not be charged for the class.
  • Please check with us, as some classes will not run during the summer
months, or changes to the day, time, or venue of the class may be made
    from semester to semester.
  • Please note the dates of the semester carefully, including holidays.
  • Kids at Work reserves the right to cancel any class due to lack of
enrollment.  In this case full refund will be made to client.

SUN SESSIONS RAIN
  • Sun Sessions classes are canceled in the event of rain.  Rain declaration
will generally be made by 8am the morning of class.
  • Rain declaration will be made as a banner message on our home page,
www.kidsatworknyc.com, and will also be contained on our voicemail
    message at 347-933-8293.
  • During the week of August 19 - 23 we will host rain make-up classes at
all locations where classes were canceled due to rain.  During this week
there will be 2 classes if it rained twice, no classes if it did not rain, and
    so on.
  • Rain make-ups make take place on a different day of the week or time
    from the normally scheduled class.
  • Clients who are not available during our rain make-up week should plan
their class packs accordingly so that they can use all classes in the event
of rain.  There are no refunds for rained out classes, since clients may
makeup at any other Sun Sessions location OR during our rain make-up
    week.

SUMMER CAMP POLICIES
  • Please note refund policy above.
  • Separation - separation is done at the discretion of Kids at Work/ABC
Gym Kids in a gentle manner at the pace of the individual child.  Not all
children are ready for separation for various reasons.  We will do our
best to accommodate individual child-care situations in the event your
child is not ready to separate.  Clients will be emailed separation
guidelines prior to the start of camp.  Separation for children under 3
years old, who are attending camp for less than 3 weeks, and who have
never separated in a classroom situation before, is not recommended.
  • Pickup from Gym Kids at Work Camp is at Hudson River Park at
Christopher Street at 12:00pm sharp.  There is a $5 per minute charge
    for late pick-ups after 12:15.
  • Please dress for mess at all camps!  A change of clothes is
recommended since water play is included.
  • Children in Gym Kids at Work Camp should bring with them a backpack
or bag containing: water bottle or sippie with name clearly labeled,
diapers and wipes if needed, complete change of clothes including
socks/underwear, and extra sunblock.  Please do not send your child with
food in their bag, since we have a lovely snack at snacktime.
  • Children should wear shoes to camp that can be fastened securely to the
child's foot.  We do not recommend flipflops or crocs.
  • Clients are asked to apply sunblock to their children before camp.
Teachers will reapply to faces and arms/shoulders before our daily walk.
Sun Sessions are held in a shady area so exposure is minimal.

KIDS AT WORK PLAYGROUP POLICIES
  • Please note refund policy above.
  • Separation - separation is done at the discretion of Kids at Work in a
gentle manner at the pace of the individual child.  Under no
circumstances may children separate before age 2.  We will do our best
to accomodate individual child-care situations and sibling issues in the
event your child is not ready to separate at age 2.  Clients will be emailed
separation guidelines prior to the start of the session.
  • Please dress for mess for PlayGroup!  Teachers cannot be held
    responsible for delicate clothing issues.
  • Please send your child to PlayGroup with a full change of clothes,
diapers, and wipes each day.  Children do not need to be potty trained to
    attend PlayGroup.
  • Please do not send your child to PlayGroup with food since we have a
lovely and healthy snack at snacktime and there may be allergy issues
    among other children.
  • Parents and caregivers must remain actively involved during the time
they are still on the Kids at Work premises with their child.

    class.
  • Please refrain from cell phone use in class, including texting/emailing.

for the class.  Certain exceptions may be made if a second

carrier.  Please do not bring older siblings to class as the lessons are not
age-appropriate for some older children.  Our venues cannot
accommodate older children who are waiting.  Please contact the
Director for more information on sibling arrangements.  Siblings within
our age ranges, in mixed-ages classes, must be registered.

months may attend free of charge, while in the company of a registered
    sibling!
