Sun Sessions are creative and fun music and
movement classes for children ages 0-4. Two
teachers, one of whom plays guitar, will greet
your child under a shady tree in the vibrant park
setting. Sun Sessions include fun and child-safe
percussion instruments, stories, and playful
musical improvisation. Mixed ages create a
nurturing, family atmosphere, and there is also a
babies only class in Washington Square Park
on Wednesdays at 11am and 12pm!
Why mixed-ages? Many early childhood
educators agree that mixed-age grouping allows
ALL children to learn at their own pace - oh so
important in the very early stages of

Sun Sessions are DROP-IN classes! Come
whenever you want, wherever you want. AND,
purchase class packs and enjoy a discount.
Reservations are necessary to guarantee there
is space for your child. Use your package at
ANY Sun Sessions location, ANY day, ANY
age-appropriate time!

fully permitted by the NYC Parks and NY State
Departments to run its programs. Many other
programs do not apply for permits and are
consequently ejected from the park or moved.
As such, the parks has asked us not to use the
parachute you see in the video on the lawns this
summer in 2010. Participants may bring their
own blankets to sit on and class will still be just
as fun!

Mixed Ages (0-4 years) -
10am (FULL) and 1:30pm
Babies class (0-13 mos) -
11am and 12pm
Tuesdays - Hudson River Park (at Bank St)
Mixed Ages (0-4 years) -
10am and 11am (FULL)
What if the class I want says "FULL?"
Occasionally we stop accepting additional
pack-holders in a given class. This is to limit
overcrowding in our classes. There may still be
room for your child for an individual drop-in, OR
the class may open up partway through the
semester. Please inquire. If you've already
purchased a package for a class marked full,
there will most likely be room for your child in
class.
Tuition Summer 2010:
Drop-in or Pay-per-class $30
4 Class Pack $28 per class
5-8 Class Pack $25 per class
9 or more Classes (sibling pack) $24 per class
Important Info for Summer 2010:
Siblings under 11 months may come to Sun
Sessions for FREE with a registered sibling!
Reservations are necessary for Sun Sessions in
order to guarantee your spot. Classes will not
contain more than 14 children.
Sun Sessions class packs are NOT usable at
Summer 2010 classes at the Kids at Work
studio. You should register your child separately
for the Toddle Around or Mess it Up programs at
102 W14th Street.
What if it rains?
Classes are canceled in the event of rain at the
discretion of Kids at Work. Classes are never
canceled due to heat. Special week of rain
make-ups run the last week of the summer
semester (August 16 - 20). Rain make-ups are
scheduled according to how many classes were
canceled at a particular location. This means
there may be no class during the eleventh week
(if it did not rain), or there may be 2-3 classes
the eleventh week. Rain make-ups may be
scheduled at a different time or day of the week
than the regular class meeting time. There are
no refunds for rained out classes, so please
plan your package size accordingly.
Remember, you may use your package at ANY
location, ANY day, ANY time within the Sun
Sessions program.
