Mess it Up! Visual art, sensory play, and science for children ages 18 mos - 5 years
Mess it Up I Ages 18 months - 2.5 years Mess it Up I is more than just an art class for toddlers. We combine sensory play, science concepts, and messy process-oriented art to give your child a hands-on experience. This class will develop independence, decision-making skills, and creativity. Classes are divided between group activities and teacher directed free play to allow all children to learn in their own way. This class is for active and curious toddlers and sitting is never required!

Children will develop verbal, problem solving, and classroom skills while having lots of messy fun! Children age 2 can come to Mess it Up I or II for a wonderful learning experience.

Mess it Up III Ages 3-5 years Mess it Up III includes open-ended science and art "experiments" where children will be encouraged to hypothesize about potential outcomes, developing critical thinking skills in a messy, creative atmosphere. Kids at Work resident artist Karen Steele, who has over 10 years of experience teaching art to Preschool and Kindergarten aged children, will inspire discussion and ideas via more complex processes such as paper-mache, diarama, and simple "recipes," creating products that children can be proud of. A caregiver or parent is required to remain on premises for the duration of this class. Younger siblings at least 2.5 years old may be permitted to attend this class with an older sibling, depending on the individual situation.
